5 stark differences between dating in the Australia and UK
Every aspect of human civilization is steeped in historical perspectives. But dating does not seem
to have such a history. Human civilization is supposed to have started with Adam and Eve in contrast to Darwin’s
Theory of Evolution. Dating therefore is a concept which must have evolved through time when the population of
the human kind increased and resulted in males and females wishing to find ideal partners for them. The methods
of dating vary from country to country; culture to culture. And the same can be said for dating patterns in the
UK and Australia.

As seen above dating patterns vary from country
to country. In the example of Australia and the UK taken above it is evident that though many
similarities exist in dating patterns there are a number of differences in approach too. It is
generally the practice that the man asks for and pays for at least the first few dates. Over a period of time
this may evolve into both the man and the woman sharing dating expenses with a slight predominance on the male.
Paying for a date may also depend on the employment particulars and a higher salaried person (male or female)
may end up paying a greater share of the dating expenses. In Australia a man may kiss his girl friend
faster than in the UK for example as UK is a more multiracial and multicultural society and the date may be not
just a British nationality but someone from any part of the world. This would result in longer time for closer
physical intimacy such as kissing or even holding hands. Breaking off the relationship
may be faster in Australia and may take a longer time in the UK, the breaking process taking longer time as it
takes longer to tell the other that it’s off in the same way as it took longer to say that it’s on.
